Orange has been welding mountain bikes in Yorkshire since 1988, and it still does it the hard way — monocoque 6061-T6 aluminium, folded and welded in-house in Halifax rather than shipped in from overseas. The single-pivot swingarm became a British icon, ridden to World Cup downhill wins and countless Peak District Sundays. For 2026 the range moved to a new linkage-driven progressive platform across the Stage and Switch families, keeping the handbuilt-in-Britain construction and adding a 5-year frame warranty with lifetime crash replacement.
